Professional Development for Teachers
Project WET and Conserve Water These "Water Education For Teachers" curriculums (WET) for teachers of Kindergarten to Grade 12 are full of engaging, cross-curricular activities centered around the theme of water. Lessons cover properties of water, water use and conservation, water and wildlife, and much more. Each workshop is six hours long.
Project WILD and Aquatic WILD These wildlife-theme environmental education programs take an inter-disciplinary approach in teaching students of all grade levels. Through hands-on, interactive lessons, classes can develop the awareness, knowledge and skills to result in informed decisions, responsible behavior, and constructive actions concerning wildlife and the environment. Each workshop is six hours long. Wonders of Wetlands! (WOW) This comprehensive Kindergarten-Grade 12 education program provides teachers with all the necessary tools to successfully teach a unit on wetlands. Teachers are given thorough background information on all aspects of wetlands and trained to use a variety of engaging, classroom-tested activities which incorporate all the disciplines. Each workshop is six hours long.
Bridges to the Natural World This Kindergarten-Grade 12 New Jersey specific curriculum is designed to help students and teachers take advantage of their local natural environments to teach important environmental education concepts. Duration of training varies.
