The park is open for hiking every day from dawn to dusk.

Do not disturb or remove any plants, wildlife, or natural materials.

Stay on the trails at all times. Do not enter the ponds or stream.

Dogs, bicycles, and alcoholic beverages are prohibited.

Picnic only in the designated picnic area. A group use permit is required for groups of 10 or more visiting the Nature Center. For more information go to Group Use.


Group Use for Picnics or Other Purposes

The Flat Rock Brook Nature Association must know what groups are utilizing the property to adequately protect the natural resource from overuse.

A permit is required for groups of 10 or more visiting Flat Rock Brook on their own for hiking, walking, independent nature study or any type of independent class or group outing.

All group rental permits nust be submitted at least one week prior to the date of the rental. All group permits must be approved by the land manager for the permit to be valid.

The Nature Center is a natural preserve for passive recreation and the quiet enjoyment of nature. Inappropriate uses include active games, loud music, races, and picnics of more than15 people.

For professional photographers a use fee is required.
