all camps run from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm * All camps have an 8:1 ratio or lower * when a camp group fills, please email Carol to be placed on the wait list carol@flatrockbrook.org
2026 summer Camp options are listed by week and topic. to register use the appropriate button under the correct week to add to your cart. For multiple children in the SAME AGE AND SAME WEEK simply toggle up the number to the desired amount.

Wind and Sea: Yo-Ho and ahoy maty! Come to Flat Rock Brook for an ocean of fun! Learn how the wind and the ocean work together to make amazing waves to surf or calm seas to sail. Dive into the deep to explore coral reefs, learn about fish that light up, and see a camouflaging sea critter. Haven’t had enough sun? Come outside and play beach games and take a canoe ride with your camp friends.

Search for leaf litter critters, scour the forests, wetlands, and our pond for macro invertebrates when we net in our pond and stream. (Only allowed with a trained naturalist, not on your own ever!) We end the week with water day and a canoe ride in the pond. We may even find a few dragons in the woods!

Nature is the perfect place to be for STEM projects. This hands-on week will ignite your imagination with exciting science activities such as building a better boat, launching rockets, chemical experiments, making a solar oven to make s’mores. We will make a jar full of color change jellyfish, have fun with magnets, experiment with water, and of course, take a canoe trip around Quarry Pond!

Use binoculars to search the forest for birds, collect macro-invertebrates from the pond and wetlands, uncover clues to which wild animal visited the pond overnight, journey through the forest to find nests, burrows, and other animal homes During this week of all things nature.

This land has been underwater, creating areas with fossilized sea life; was under miles of glacial ice, leaving its mark on stone slabs. In more recent times this area was home to indigenous people, colonial settlements, farms, residences and even a rock quarry. Explore the past, learn about early cultures, and use clues to uncover facts about Flat Rock’s history.

August 10, 2026 to August 14, 2026
Fly to Flat Rock Brook for fun flights of fancy. This camp week offers something for a novice birder or an experienced ornithologist! Bring your fledgling to learn about the many feathered friends that flock to FRB. We will take a bird watching hike each morning then delve into different bird species with games, crafts, and of course meeting our own non-releasable raptors. Then we will take some afternoon hikes so we can learn whooo comes out later in the day.

Play with snow dough, slush, and float icebergs during this week long look at how wacky weather can be.

Take an interstellar flight from Mercury to Mars while we find constellations and discuss the differences between planets and moons. Build a pretend rocket with your friends and blast off for an imaginary trip to look for Goldilocks Planets that might have life on them. This week will be full of crafts, games, discussions about pluto and the recent finds in the night sky. So hop on board our space craft and take off to FRB for an exciting last week of camp.
