Summer Camp Registration - 2024
Flat Rock Brook’s Summer Day Camp is an active, educational camp. Campers will spend most of their time outdoors, weather permitting. Camp runs from 8:30am until 3:00pm rain or shine for our full day campers: Flat Rock Fox Camp is for campers ages 6 to 8; Coyote Kids Camp is for campers ages 9 to 12.
Our Flat Rock Finch Camp runs from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
EARLY BIRD SPECIAL: Our Flat Rock Fox Camp and Coyote Kid Camp (8:30 am to 3:00 pm) is $400.00 per week/per child; Flat Rock Finch Camp is $250.00 per week/per child. Sign up early (January 1, 2024 to May 1, 2024) for a $25.00 per week discount! Flat Rock Fox, Coyote Kids camps are $375.00, and Flat Rock Finch camp is $225.00 until May 2, 2024, when the price reverts back.

What is a day at camp like?
Camp activities vary by the day and by the session topic. All campers will hike daily (weather permitting), have some unstructured play time and participate in a variety of crafts, games and hands-on activities related to the day’s topic of study. Some examples of activities include: playing a migration game to learn about the incredible journeys taken by birds, creating a shelter out of natural materials, planting a garden, studying the critters found in the pond and stream, creating and decorating plaster animal tracks. We offer campers unstructured play time at least once during the day. Most of the time, campers will play a group game but participation is not required. Some campers might choose to use their time to read a book or color. While we ask campers to leave their devices at home, they are welcome to bring quiet activities to enjoy during unstructured time.
Campers will have a snack in the late morning. Lunch is in the early afternoon, depending upon the age group. Snack and lunch time might be indoors or out on the trail. Flat Rock Finch campers, should bring lunch and a snack.
Campers will have some activities that require things to be brought from home. On very hot days, we have fun with sprinklers and water games as well as an exciting trip around the pond! Some campers like to have an extra set of clothes to put on afterwards.
Friday is water day for campers! On Friday, please have your camper bring a bathing suit, towel, extra shoes that can get wet, and anything else they might need for a wonderfully wet day.
