Junior Naturalist Camp

Ages 11 to 14 This hands-on program changes slightly each week although there is no specific themes. This group will hike, spend time learning what the Land Management Department does, learn what it takes to be an Education Department Naturalist, and learn how we manage the 150 acre Nature Preserve in an urban area.

Basic Schedule:

8:30 Drop off

8:45 Hike

9:30 Stream or wetland clean up or invasive plant pull

11:30 Conservation Discussion

12:15 lunch and free time

1:30 Education/Naturalist project

2:15 Naturalist Activity such as water quality monitoring, plant ID, Tree ID, geocache, Bio-blitz

3:00 pick up
